The Faces You'll See

Neil Scott, Owner and Funeral Director at George Scott Funeral Services

Owner & Funeral Director

Neil Scott

Neil joined the family funeral business in 1989, the fourth generation of the Scott family to carry forward a tradition built on genuine care. Under his leadership the company has grown steadily — every premises was renovated in 1999, the centenary year, and two state-of-the-art chapels of rest were added — though ask him about any of it and he will quietly turn the conversation to his team, and to the families they look after.

Because that is where you will find Neil: in the work itself. He remains personally involved in every funeral we arrange, with a close eye on the small details that matter so much to a grieving family, and he asks one thing of every funeral director here — that they do their utmost, every time, for every family in our care.

That dedication has not gone unnoticed. Golden Charter, the UK's leading funeral plan provider, awarded Neil a Certificate of Achievement recognising his outstanding commitment to the families he serves. Characteristically, he would rather the work spoke for itself.

Fenton and Eden Scott — the fifth generation of the Scott family

The Fifth Generation

Fenton & Eden Scott

The Scott family legacy continues with Neil's sons, Fenton and Eden — the fifth generation of the family to serve Bournemouth. They have grown up immersed in the values that have defined this business since 1899: a deep respect for every family, a commitment to excellence, and an understanding that the smallest details matter most at the hardest times.

Working alongside their father, they represent not just continuity, but a genuine dedication to serving the Bournemouth and Dorset community for generations to come.
