Crafted with care & dignity
From traditional solid wood to eco-friendly natural materials — we offer a wide range to suit every wish, faith and preference.
George Scott Funeral Services can supply a wide range of traditional veneered and solid wood coffins, ashes caskets and urns — from the simplest design to the most elaborate. All are suitable for both burial and cremation.
A painted coffin, with pictures reflecting the life of the deceased, can also be arranged on request. We keep a large stock, though some are bespoke and made to order, which can take 3–4 days. Coffin wood grain and colours may vary slightly from the photos shown.

Our traditional range includes veneered and solid wood coffins in a variety of styles and finishes. Below are some examples from our brochure — please ask to see the full selection.
A timeless choice, the Henley in mahogany offers a rich, warm tone and classic styling suited to traditional and contemporary services alike.
The Henley in oak offers a lighter, natural grain with elegant proportions — a popular choice for those who prefer a softer, more understated finish.
The Regent is a distinguished coffin with refined detailing — a fitting tribute for a life well lived, available in a range of finishes.
We also supply environmentally friendly coffins in wicker, seagrass, bamboo and cardboard — available in traditional or curved-end shapes, and equally suitable for burial or cremation.
Renowned for its quality and durability. Grown in paddy fields that are flooded with sea water during the season, harvested grass is dried and spun into strong yarns ready for weaving.
Very environmentally friendly, as cane grows quickly, thrives in marginal soil, and can be introduced into natural forests without disturbing the existing ecosystem.
Made from leaves of the banana plant, spun into long yarns and woven around a natural rattan frame — strong but lightweight, and beautifully textured.
Grown in rows of bushes, willow regenerates to its full height within a year of harvest. The coffins are self-supporting, handcrafted by skilled workers using traditional methods.
One of the fastest-growing plants on earth, bamboo makes an exceptionally sustainable choice. It produces a smooth, elegant finish that is both strong and lightweight.
A simple, dignified and fully biodegradable option. Cardboard coffins can be personalised with artwork, photographs or patterns — making them a uniquely individual tribute.
